What Is It?
Collagen and elastin are the main components which keep skin looking youthful. Unfortunately, as we age, production of these two proteins slows down and eventually stops, which is the reason we begin to see wrinkles, fine lines, darkness, hollowness and a general loss of elasticity in the skin. Thankfully, Dermal fillers, as the name would suggest, are used to fill in areas of the face which may be lacking volume and suppleness. They can be used to smooth out any wrinkles or fine lines and restore that youthful look which collagen and elastin provide. Not only are they used to restore lost volume to the face, they are also used to contour the face, rectify under-eye bags and plump up lips.
At The Clinic Room, we use dermal fillers which are derived from hyaluronic acid, a water-binding sugar that is already produced naturally in the skin. The most popular fillers are derived from this same component which should put your mind at ease, as it is perfectly safe and non-animal origin. Dermal fillers are quick, require little to no downtime and the effects are reversible as the filler can be dissolved by injecting an enzyme called Hyaluronidase.
How Does It Work?
Our first priority would be to have a consultation with you where we would discuss your goals and assess your face. In this initial meeting, our practitioners would be taking into consideration a multitude of factors such as: your age, sex, skin thickness, location of desired fillers and the result wanted.
Here at The Clinic Room, we don’t base our costing on the ml used; we are results driven and will cater to everyone’s needs individually. Each face is different which means our practitioners will use their expertise to decide what will produce the results you are looking for. We’ll do this by creating a tailor-made plan designed specially for you in order to achieve the look you deserve.
The way in which Dermal Fillers are administered is through a few tiny facial injections by needle or a cannula (which is round tipped), making the treatment super safe and pretty much pain-free as multiple incisions aren’t necessary. Dermal filler procedures can be done over a lunch break period as they are very quick and leave no obvious marks or scars.
