Liposonix is one of the fastest methods in aesthetic medicine to help lose inches off your body. This treatment which uses HIFU technology is able to break down fat instantly allowing you to feel and see a difference usually from the very first or second session.

What is it?

Focused Fat Reduction is the latest in technological advancements which can instantly shred fat with visible results after just one treatment. It has been around for some years with the name Liposonix but it’s only now the treatment is making some noise in the UK.

Liposonix or Focused Fat Reduction is a treatment that penetrates the fat cells 1-2cm below the surface area of the skin whilst avoiding any damage to your outer skin layer. Liposonix has been used overseas as a method to remove problematic fat cells from the body as an alternative to liposuction. But where liposuction would give you major downtime and cause a lot of pain, Liposonix / Focused Fat Reduction will leave you with no downtime and instant and visible results.

How does it work?

Focused Fat reduction uses an amazing technology called HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) to penetrate deep into your fat cells and destroying them immediately. At any one point the HIFU technology can use up to 300 shots that attack your fat deposits directly and but leaving the outer area of your skin unharmed.

The disrupted fat cells attract the body’s healing responses which are then transported by your body’s macrophages through the lymphatic and venous system and eventually to the liver. This process takes 2-4 weeks, so there are no changes in fat, triglyceride, or any other body chemistries. The liver treats the fat from the macrophages just like fat you have eaten. The liver takes the fat and metabolizes it normally.
